Yes, it lives up to the hype. (I figured there was no point in burying the lede here.) I’ve heard people rave about Radio Bakery since it opened. The lines snake down the block and given its Greenpoint location, it didn’t make sense for me to even attempt going all the way there from my Harlem abode before they sold out of the goods. Luckily, a coworker lives very close and twice brought treats into the office.

This point I’ve tried the shakshuka focaccia, everything spice focaccia with scallion cream cheese, the rhubarb tart, the mushroom croissant tart thing, chocolate croissant, and the scallion sesame twist. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The focaccia was just perfect so anything made with that was a standout. I also loved the mushroom tart. I lean savory so that’s always going to come out on top for me, but their croissant technique is pretty perfect so the sweet selections (like the passion fruit special I saw on their IG) are probably incredible too. It’s all incredible, to be fair. This is the first place that ranks up there with my beloved Auspicious in Savannah.

I was thrilled to learn they were opening another location…only to be disheartened upon learning it was also in Brooklyn. If you live anywhere nearby, make your way there – it really is that good.
